Show Featuring Science Demonstrations for Children, Teens Slated at RVCC Theatre
The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present Doktor Kaboom and The Wheel of Science!, Friday, April 14, at 10 a.m. The show is part of RVCCArts’ School-Time Series, which offers performances geared specifically for children and teens.
Doktor Kaboom is having trouble picking his favorite science demonstrations, so he’s bringing them all to the Theatre at RVCC. Unfortunately, there are far too many to do in one show. The solution: The Wheel of Science.
Doktor Kaboom has built a large spinning wheel that’s labeled with everything from optical illusions, to chemical reactions, to a homemade hovercraft, and more. At least a dozen fantastic demonstrations are prepared for the audience; wherever the wheel stops, that’s the experiment that will be performed. Will the audience get to witness a water bottle turned into a rocket; watch bananas catapult across the stage; or see a pickle get electrocuted? Who knows? No two shows are the same. So, step right up and watch the wheel spin!
The 60-minute show is appropriate for audience members in grades 3-8 and their families.
Tickets for all performances in the School-Time Series cost $8 per person; one free chaperone ticket is provided for every ticket bought.
