The program will begin with a discussion of Deborah Cadbury’s book, The School That Escaped the Nazis, Friday, November 11, at 10 a.m. The book describes the extraordinary true story of a courageous school principal who saw the dangers of Nazi Germany in early 1933 and took drastic steps to save her students, faculty, and hundreds of others in harm’s way.

There is no cost to participate in the book discussion program, but registration is required. To register, or for additional information, contact Michelle Edgar at michelle.edgar@raritanval.edu.

The “Books for Change” series will continue on February 17, at 10 a.m., with a discussion of Elly Fishman’s Refugee High. Author Elly Fishman will participate in the program.
