The Raritan Valley Community College Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies and The Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon, & Warren Counties will present an online International Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration in Honor of Margit Feldman, Wednesday, January 27, from 7-8 p.m.

Holocaust survivor Margit Feldman, who died this past year, was a founding member of the Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies who worked tirelessly to help educate students and the wider community about the Holocaust. She often shared her story of how she survived the Nazi concentration camps, inspiring thousands of people. Her powerful yet gentle presence will be remembered during this special program.

The virtual event also will include remarks from Holocaust survivors Maud Dahme and Tova Friedman. Rabbi Dan Selsberg from Temple Sholom in Bridgewater will offer a reflection, and Rabbi Ron Issacs will provide music. Peppy Margolis will share a reading. Evelyn Rauch will present a poem written for Margit Feldman, and Jessica Wang of 3GNJ will offer a Third-Generation perspective.
