Virtual Performance of In Full Color to Celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month, the Women’s Center of Raritan Valley Community College will host a virtual performance featuring the artists of In Full Color, Wednesday, October 14, at 4:30 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
In Full Color will present monologues and poems, as well as a “talkback” discussion after the performance. Performers will include wendelin, Daniela Rincon and Liliane Wolf. The award-winning organization empowers women of color through education and the arts.
Inspired by the same-titled In Full Color—an annual theatrical event celebrating women of color—the current group was founded as Thinking In Full Color in 2015 by director Summer Dawn Reyes in Jersey City. The organization has since grown to include work by writers from New York, New Jersey, California, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Texas and Minnesota. The group’s monologues have sparked dialogues about numerous social issues; today, these discussions are more important than ever.
