Learn about all Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) has to offer by attending an Information Session in September at the College’s Branchburg campus. The College is offering General Information Sessions as well as special sessions for adults and those interested in its Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) career programs.

General Information Sessions and campus tours are scheduled for Fridays, September 7, 14, and 28, from 10-11 a.m., in the Atrium (lower level, College Center), and Thursday, September 20, from 4-6 p.m., in the Atrium.

During the sessions, RVCC Admissions specialists will provide information about:

• Enrolling in classes for a special 12-week session starting September 12 or the Spring Semester
• Programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges and universities in New Jersey, across the country, and even in Europe
• Career training programs, designed in partnership with local industry, that can be completed in a year or less
• The admissions process

In addition, RVCC will offer an Information Session for its Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) programs on September 26, from 5-6:30 p.m., in the College’s Workforce Training Center.

During the Beauty Professions Information Session, participants learn about RVCC’s programs in Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) as they view and participate in hands-on hair demonstrations, meet the programs’ director, take part in a question-and-answer segment, and apply for either program. RVCC’s Cosmetology and Esthetics programs feature an accomplished teaching staff, innovative teaching methods, and opportunities for job shadowing and salon practicum. The programs offer proactive job placement for graduates. The next daytime Cosmetology program will be held January 30, 2019-November 13, 2019. A daytime Esthetics program will be held January 31, 2019-July 22, 2019. Special Adult Information Sessions for non-traditional age students who are considering returning to college or have never attended college will be held Tuesday, September 4, from 2-2:30 p.m., in the Conference Center (Room 102), and Saturday, September 22, from 1-2 p.m., in the West Building Conference Room.

Aside from general admissions information, the sessions will focus on transferring college credits, earning credits for life experience, and making a successful transition back to school after being away from the classroom for years.
