Book Talk on Anthology by Palestinian, Jewish Authors Slated
The public is invited to attend a discussion and book signing featuring playwrights Samah Sabawi and Stephen Orlov, April 19, from 4-6 p.m., at Raritan Valley Community College. The event, which is free of charge, will be held in the Atrium at the College’s Branchburg campus.
Orlov and Sabawi are the editors of Double Exposure: Plays of the Jewish and Palestinian Diasporas. During the event, which is being sponsored by the RVCC Foundation, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Muslim Students Association, Sabawi and Orlov will discuss their groundbreaking journey in editing Double Exposure and read from their plays. The book is the first English-language anthology in any genre of drama, prose or poetry by Jewish and Palestinian writers. A question-and-answer segment will follow their presentation and refreshments will be served.
