Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg and Moore College of Art & Design have signed a new agreement that will allow female students to seamlessly transfer to the Philadelphia-based women’s visual arts college to complete their Bachelor’s Degree.

According to the agreement, students who receive an Associate of Science in Interior Architecture and Design from RVCC may transfer to Moore’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design program with junior standing, as long as they fulfill certain requirements. This includes maintaining the requisite grade point average and submitting a required portfolio of 8-12 pieces of artwork.

“The new agreement with Moore College of Art & Design gives RVCC’s talented women a wonderful opportunity to continue their education and complete a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of interior design,” said RVCC President Michael J. McDonough. “As an added benefit, Moore will be making grants and scholarships available to students based on their grade point average and portfolio of work.”

“Moore College of Art & Design is delighted to launch a new articulation agreement and partnership with Raritan Valley Community College that creates a clear point of entry and pathway into the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design for its Associate of Science Degree students,” said Patricia C. Phillips, chief academic officer/academic dean at Moore. “The BFA in Interior Design is an outstanding program and we look forward to welcoming Raritan’s well qualified and highly motivated transfer students to the Moore College community.”

According to the agreement, RVCC graduates may transfer up to 76 credits to the Moore Bachelor’s Degree program.
