Cosmetology Students Style Period Hair for The Other Mozart Theatre Production
Raritan Valley Community College Cosmetology students will be recreating the hairstyle for actress Samantha Hoefer in The Other Mozart, which will be staged Tuesday, October 24, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., at The Theatre at RVCC, Branchburg.
The production shares the true, forgotten story of Nannerl Mozart—the sister of Amadeus—who was a prodigy, keyboard virtuoso and composer.
The RVCC Cosmetology students have been practicing their skills to emulate the hairstyle of Nannerl Mozart for the Theatre’s upcoming presentation. The look, inspired by the classical, mid-18th-early 19th Century period, is crimped, curled and teased for maximum volume and bend.
