I would like to take RVCC college classes at my high school (Concurrent Enrollment).

- Meet with your high school counselor to discuss concurrent enrollment course(s) options and eligibility requirements. You can also email K-12partnerships@raritanval.edu to get additional information. Please include your high school’s name in the email subject line.
- Grade Level: Generally, students must be in 11th or 12th grade (unless otherwise communicated by your high school with special permission from RVCC)
- GPA Requirement: 3.0 (exceptions can be made by a letter of recommendation; final determination made by RVCC)
- Placement Requirement: Some courses require appropriate math and/or English placement test scores (Accuplacer) or exemptions (such as SAT/ACT/NJSLA). Check with your high school for requirements and any additional criteria.
A "G#" is a unique identification number assigned to each student by RVCC, allowing for easy tracking and access to their academic records. If you have previously applied to RVCC and have a G# proceed to step 3. If you do not have a G#, please follow the steps below.
Click HERE for the Admissions Application (select Sign Up to begin a new application).
- Students should apply as Early College Student
- Use a personal email address on the application (not high school or parent/family)
- Select Not Seeking a Degree under Major/Program on the application
- Within the next 3 business days, please log back in to the Application portal link HERE and click on the golden envelope. The golden envelope contains a letter with your RVCC G#, email, and password to Lion's Den. Please be sure to save this information as you will need it to make a payment.
Lion’s Den is the hub of online activity for RVCC faculty, staff and students. Concurrent Enrollment students have access to Lion’s Den with their G# and password.
Please contact the RVCC Help Desk at 908-526-1200 x7887 or email helpdesk@raritanval.edu if you are having issues logging into Lion’s Den or need to reset your password.
If the course(s) you are interested in taking require(s) a placement score, one of the following must be completed.
- Submit qualifying exemptions (SAT/ACT/NJSLA)
- Complete the RVCC Accuplacer placement test
- Complete the online foreign language placement test
Check with your high school for requirements, additional criteria, and document submission procedure.
Complete the CEP Parent Consent Form and submit it to your high school. Be sure to include your G# and the course(s) you wish to register for on the form. K-12 Partnerships will register eligible students based on the required documentation provided by the high school.
Students cannot register for Concurrent Enrollment classes on their own.
Concurrent Enrollment Program students have three options to submit payment:
Option 1: Pay using Lion’s Den
Step 1: Log into Lion’s Den via the RVCC website using your RVCC credentials (G# and password). Make sure you have your cell phone for multifactor authentication.
Step 2: Click on the "Account Detail for Term" tile
Step 3: You will see details about the balance and you can click on the Pay Now icon to make a payment by credit or debit card (please be sure to pick the right term for the payment).
Please DO NOT pay the late fee if you see that on your account. Concurrent Enrollment Students are not charged a late fee.
Please contact the RVCC Help Desk at 908-526-1200 x7887 or email helpdesk@raritanval.edu if you are having issues logging into Lion’s Den or need to reset your password.
If you are having issues using Lion’s Den to make payment, please use Option 2 which does not require a login.
Option 2: Pay Online
You will not be able to see your tuition balance using this option so please include the correct amount. If you do not know your tuition balance, please email bursar@raritanval.edu. Please be sure to include your G# in the email.
Step 1: Click HERE and click on the Student Account Payment. Payment can be made via credit or debit card.
Step 2: Complete all sections and include your RVCC Student G# where indicated so the payment can be applied to the right account.
Please include the right term and the high school’s name.
Option 3: Pay by Check
Once you have verified the balance, payment by check or money order can be sent as follows:
Check or money order by mail made out to RVCC, Attn: Finance Office, P.O. Box 3300, Somerville, New Jersey 08876; Please include your G# and “CEP Tuition” on the check or money order so the payment can be applied to the right account.
Parents/Families also have the option to set up their accounts to pay CEP tuition. Click on Parents Pay Tuition Now (students must have created a Parent Account to allow parent access) to set up a parent/family account. Click on How to Create a Parent Account for details.
The CEP rate for the 2024-2025 academic year is $240 per CEP course.
The CEP tuition rate is subject to change.
Non-Payment for CEP Course(s)
The student/family or high school (if applicable) is responsible for payment upon successful completion of registration. A hold will be placed on the student account and K-12 Partnerships will not be able to register the student for additional courses until payment is made.
Withdrawal Policy
The withdrawal deadline will be communicated by the high school. To withdraw, the student must notify the high school and a CEP Withdrawal Form must be completed and submitted to K-12 Partnerships. The student will receive a "W" on their official RVCC transcript and a refund will not be issued. If payment has not been received by the time a student withdraws, payment is still owed. Students risk getting an F in the course(s) if K-12 Partnerships is not notified of a student withdrawal by the deadline.
Please check with your high school about RVCC’s CEP payment and withdrawal schedule.
