Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will offer a course this fall to help students prepare for the upcoming SAT and ACT tests. Both sections of the course will be held at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

The course is geared toward 11th and 12th grade students who plan to take the SAT or ACT exam in the fall. Class sessions will focus on such topics as Algebra, Geometry, Data/Probability, Trigonometry, Writing Skills (Punctuation/Structure/Style/Grammar/Essay) and Passage-Based Reading. Students learn time-saving techniques, discover how to spot incorrect answers with ease, and build stamina. Being better prepared for the exams will help students feel more relaxed, poised, and in command of the material on test day.

The course will be offered twice. The first section (for the October exam) will meet Sundays, September 11, 18, 25, 2-5 p.m.; Tuesday, September 27, 6:30-9:30 p.m.; and Thursdays, September 8, 15, 22, 29, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The second session (for the November exam) will meet Sundays, September 11, 18, 25 and October 9, 16, 23, 30, 2-5 p.m.; and Thursday, October 27, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
All materials are included in the $449 fee. Homework is required.
