Dr. Melanie Lenahan, Raritan Valley Community College Professor of Biology, has received the Social Learning Innovator Award in STEM from Hypothesis. The award recognizes her work with social annotation to deepen student engagement and foster an immersive learning environment. Dr. Lenahan is the only NJ community college professor being honored by Hypothesis.
As part of the honor, Professor Lenahan was invited to participate in an October 17 webinar during which award-winners from various disciplines shared their approaches to social learning.
According to Hypotheses, the Social Learning Innovator Awards are “a celebration of the educators and institutions leading the way in transforming education through social annotation…. By honoring those who push the boundaries of traditional education, we aim to highlight the transformative impact of social learning on enhancing comprehension, fostering deeper connections with course material, and driving academic success.”
