EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED

Raritan Valley Community College’s Business & Public Service department will present “Essential Skills to Future Proof Your Career,” a program featuring Lourdes Tango, October 15, from 6-8 p.m. The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, is being hosted by the department’s International Business Advisory Committee. It will be held in the Event Center at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Tango, a Global Leadership Specialist and DEI Strategist, will explore how understanding individual and group mindsets can improve communication and foster stronger connections with others and unlock team potential. In her presentation, the speaker will:

•    Provide neutral vocabulary and a proven blueprint to facilitate meaningful conversations between people who think and behave differently, so they can turn their differences into synergy;

•    Reveal the three layers of a person’s personal preferences based on their cultural orientation and personality;

•    Explain the differences in individual working style and communication preferences in order to leverage unique perspectives. This knowledge will help to unlock the benefits of cultural intelligence, which goes beyond international knowledge.

Advance registration is not required. For additional information about the event, contact Dr. Ellen Lindemann at ellen.lindemann@raritanval.edu.
