PTK Honor Society Article Included in Journal
An article by Raritan Valley Community College’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has been selected from among 422 entries to be included in the 2024 edition of Civic Scholar: Phi Theta Kappa Journal of Undergraduate Research. Only 20 articles were selected for the prestigious journal.
The chapter’s entry is titled “Play for Play’s Sake: How Playing For Fun Is Needed For All Ages Including College Students!” The article describes the chapter’s Honors in Action research focusing on how college play is portrayed in the media, and how that differs from the way RVCC students actually play.
The winning officer team, which included Jordan Nussbaum, Olivia O’Donnell, Mikaela Lijo, Andrew Demcher, and Anna Quezada, also was recognized for its research at this year’s Phi Theta Kappa international convention with a Distinguished Honors in Action Award.
