Chorale to Present Spring Concert
The RVCC Chorale will present its spring concert on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College’s Branchburg campus.
The program will feature the premiere of RVCC faculty member Dr. John Sichel’s “The Earth Laments Her Butterflies” and also will include works by John Leavitt, Felix Mendelssohn, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and Stephen Schwartz.
Directed by Dr. Will Berman, RVCC Professor of Voice, and Ollie Johnson, RVCC Honors College music major, the RVCC Chorale is composed of students, former students, and members of the community. The spring concert’s performers include Aliz Thomas Abarca, Christina Baratta, Jonathan Buonocore, Eleni Catanzaro, Mabel Cesario, James Collins, Ruth Dilley, Joseph Galioto, Andrew Ho, Greg Hotchkiss, Ollie Johnson, Jennifer Kapoian, Derek Krasnansky, Mckenzie Miller, Barbara Porter, Cindy Principato, Carlene Recto, Jane Sausanavage, Sylvia Sincaglia, Sarah Stefaniak, Kathleen Strong, Elena Waddleton, and Amanda Zeitler. The RVCC Chorale will be accompanied by Abraham Alinea and Naomi Takagi, pianists.
General admission tickets cost $12 per person, $8 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the concert or in advance from the Theatre Box Office, 908-725-3420. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
