Cellular and Molecular Biology Students Participate in Sciworthy Professor Partnership Program
Raritan Valley Community College Professor Melanie Lenahan’s Cellular and Molecular Biology students recently participated in the Sciworthy Professor Partnership Program, in which students choose primary literature articles and create a science communication piece.
Professor Lenahan helps the students understand the science and develop the first draft of their article. They then work with Sciworthy editors, who offer up to three rounds of editing and ultimately decide which articles will be published. Twelve RVCC students had their articles accepted for publication.
The project is part Professor Lenahan’s work with Open Pedagogy, which offers students the opportunity to be editors, collaborators, and creators in their education.
