Preschool & Childcare Center

It can be hard to balance college study and parenthood. Many student parents wonder: Do colleges help with childcare? The answer is yes at RVCC—which counts itself among New Jersey’s community colleges with daycare.

RVCC strives to make college more accessible for student parents by offering quality, affordable childcare services at our Children’s Campus. The center has received the Department of Education’s “Child Care Access Means Parents in School” (CCAMPIS) grant, which supports single and lower-income student parents through campus-based childcare services. Optical Clinic

Need an eye exam or a prescription for glasses or contact lenses? Head to the RVCC Optical Clinic. Located right on campus, this teaching clinic is run by students in the Ophthalmic Science program under the direct supervision of a licensed optician. It is open to all RVCC students, faculty, and staff. Lenses and frames are offered at a fraction of the retail price. The Optical Clinic is located at the College Center on the lower level and can be reached at 908-526-1200 x8261.

Protégé Salon and Spa

Welcome to Protégé, RVCC’s full-service hair salon and spa located at the Workforce Training Center. This convenient on-campus salon offers a variety of deeply discounted beauty services for students and the public—including haircuts and color, nail services, makeup application, facials, waxing, and more. All services are provided by RVCC’s Cosmetology students. Call 908-526-1200 x8619 for an appointment.

RVCC Arts

RVCC offers many opportunities throughout the year for students and the greater community to view works of art, dance, music, and theater performances. These range from student showcases to performances by some of the best professional touring companies of regional, national, and international stature. Performances take place at the RVCCArts performing arts center, located on the College’s campus at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, New Jersey. Student Discounts

In addition to discounts at the College’s salon, optical clinic, and performing arts center, RVCC students are able to take advantage of special savings offered by area NJ businesses, including movie theaters, restaurants, banks, gyms, insurance companies, coffee houses, and more.

Fitness Center & Pool

Nothing eases the stress of college more than a good workout. RVCC students enjoy free access to the campus Fitness Center & Pool, located in the Physical Education Building. The 2,330 square foot Fitness Center features squat racks, a multi-user functional training station, dumbells, kettlebells treadmills, ellipticals, and more, along with a beautiful, six-lane, 25-yard pool.

RVCC Resource Center

The RVCC Resource Center offers support to students who may be facing food insecurity or other barriers to success at college. In addition to running the RVCC Food Pantry, the Resource Center helps students access the various benefits of community college at RVCC. These include counseling, substance abuse support, immigration support, LGBTQ support, and more. The Resource Center is located on the 2nd floor of the College Center, across from the Cafeteria.
