Attention high school juniors and seniors: Did you know you can earn college credits this summer through the Jumpstart Pre-College Program at Raritan Valley Community College? Designed specifically with you in mind, this valuable program allows you to get ahead of the curve for your college education, smoothly transition from high school to college, and earn credits along the way.

What are Pre-College Summer Programs?

Summer pre-college programs allow high school students to take college-level courses that transfer to four-year universities. If you are a high school junior or senior, you can jumpstart your college education by earning early college credits at RVCC.

RVCC’s Jumpstart Pre-College Program will allow you to:

• Earn Credit. Use the credits at RVCC or take them with you to another college or university. The credits you earn now will wait for you. If your high school allows, you may be able to use the credits to fulfill high school requirements.
• Start College Now. Complete courses that most college degree programs require. Explore a course in a major you are seriously considering for your future. Choose from hundreds of courses offered on campus.
• Challenge Yourself. Complete stimulating assignments with knowledgeable professors in an intimate college setting.

To enroll in college-level courses at RVCC's Branchburg, NJ campus, you must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and obtain approval from your parents and guidance counselor. Click here to apply and register, and check out our summer session dates here.

Concurrent Enrollment Classes

Starting in the fall, high school students will also have the option of taking Concurrent Enrollment college classes at RVCC.

The College has partnerships with select area high schools that can make it possible for you to take challenging college courses and earn college credits during you regular school day. The credits you earn can stay at RVCC or transfer to another college or university. Courses include English Composition 1; Pre-Calculus 1 & 2; Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2; Introduction to Criminal Justice; and Principles of Biology.
