Another reason is that they know jobs in this area are in great demand. Through RVCC’s programs, you’ll learn how to design full- functioning games and have an opportunity to participate in Global Game Jam, an international competition.

2. Commercial Energy Management & HVAC

Homeowners and businesses are going green and need help in reducing their energy usage; therefore, knowledgeable technicians in the areas of heating, refrigeration & cooling and environmental control are in high demand. To meet this need, RVCC offers degree and certificate programs in HVAC and in Commercial Energy Management. Equipped with environmental control technology skills, you can become a hot commodity for prospective employers upon graduation.

3. Computer Networking & Cybersecurity

5. Auto Technology

Vroom! The AutoTechnology industry is on a roll, hiring skilled candidates at a fast pace. Fortunately, RVCC’s top-notch Automotive Technology Program partners with the manufacturing industry to offer specialized career training from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Graduates attain additional industry credentials from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS), Snap-on and other industry partners to allow students to stand out to potential employers.

6. Advanced Manufacturing

In RVCC’s hands-on Advanced Manufacturing Program, you’ll master the machine basics, precision and advanced technical skills needed to become a manufacturing professional. You have the luxury of choosing from multiple careers such as: Manual Mill Operator, Engine Lathe Operator, Manual Machinist or CNC Production Technician. All graduates receive their industry-recognized NIMS certification and OSHA10 card. Local employers are looking for qualified machinists to fill vacant positions and RVCC will assist with job placement.
