- High Quality Education That is Affordable
The most obvious benefit of choosing community college is the cost savings. As a result, RVCC students are not saddled with huge college debt like students at 4-year private and state colleges. According to collegedata.com, the average cost of tuition and fees for the 2018-2019 school year is $35,676 at private colleges, $9,716 for state residents at public colleges and $21,629 for out-of-state students at state schools. However, RVCC’s tuition--based on 18 credits--is approximately $3,636. To learn more or to attend the upcoming General Information Session, simply click here!
- Transfer Agreements
Seventy percent of RVCC students plan to continue their studies at a four-year college or university. We want your experience of transferring from a community college to a 4 year college or university to be seamless. A transfer agreement is a partnership between two colleges designed to foster easier transfer of credits. RVCC has over 90 transfer agreements with a wide range of 4 year colleges and universities from Cornell University to the University of the West of England. The College will help you develop a transfer plan to help organize and guide you through the process.
- Financial Aid, Scholarships & Local Job Placement Assistance
RVCC’s campus is open to anyone seeking quality higher education. With a number of state, national, and College financial aid options available including loans, grants and scholarships, we can tailor a funding package to meet your needs. - Top-Notch Faculty
RVCC has some of the most dedicated and talented professors around. Its outstanding faculty members continuously strive for excellence in the classroom with innovative curriculum. And, outside of the classroom, they continue their excellence with impressive book launches, performances, awards and recognition by influential figures within their respective areas of expertise.
- Small Classes
RVCC puts the “community” into Community College and it starts with the size of its classrooms. While state schools are known for their giant lecture halls that can fit up to a couple hundred students, the average class size at RVCC is approximately 19 students. This offers a more intimate setting for learning as well as more one-on-one time with professors.
- Flexible Schedule
Many of our students work part-time or full-time while attending RVCC. We offer courses year-round days, evening, weekend and online to accommodate your work schedule and busy life.
