The Raritan Valley Community College Athletic department has donated its previously worn soccer uniforms to a team in South Africa. The recycled uniforms are now being worn by the White River Lions, a local boys’ soccer team whose members live at the Msholozi Orphanage in South Africa.

Hoping to donate the College’s old uniforms to children in need, RVCC’s Phil Herro worked with Peace Passers, an organization based out of Charlotte, NC, that collects new and old soccer uniforms as well as equipment and delivers them to impoverished communities around the world. Herro is RVCC Athletics’ recruiting coordinator and head coach of the College’s women's volleyball and basketball teams.
