RVCC to Hold Annual Holiday Art Show, Sale

Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department will present its annual Holiday Art Show and Sale, December 5-9 and December 11. The show will be held in December 5-9 in the Art Gallery (lower level, College Center) at RVCC’s Branchburg campus, and will move to the College’s Nash Theatre lobby on December 11.

Gallery hours for the sale are December 5-8, noon-8 p.m., and December 9, noon-6 p.m. On December 11, artwork will be displayed for sale in the Theatre lobby from 12:30:-3 p.m. during the performance of A Christmas Carol.

The exhibition and sale will feature a varied display of work created by RVCC’s ceramics students, instructors and several alumni. The ceramic work ranges from low-fire smoked and Raku vessels to high-fire functional and sculptural pieces in porcelain and stoneware. Other show highlights include limited-edition prints by Darren McManus, artwork by Jeff Mason, artwork and clothing designed by Val Sivilli, and hand-made silk scarves by Vera Tarantino.  In addition, paintings by Phil Smith will be shown. Large watercolors made by Chris Koep’s Watercolor class also will be available for purchase.
