Performing Arts Showcase Featuring One-Act Plays, Extended Scenes to be Staged

Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will stage a Performing Arts Showcase, Bars, Apartments and Batman, March 26-28, at 7 p.m. The showcase, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be presented in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.
Bars, Apartments and Batman will feature one-acts and extended scenes from plays by Neil Simon, John Patrick Shanley, Maria Irene Fornes, and Marco Ramirez.
The scenes range from comic to dramatic and are a collaboration between the students and director, RVCC Professor Dennis Russo. The goal was for the students to have a direct hand in the content being staged. The showcase concept is common in the industry as a way for actors to celebrate and promote their range as performers.
The content is for mature audiences and contains adult language and themes. The cast and crew include:
Talia Gentles – Readington
Fallon Billy – Bridgewater
Rachael Bello – Gillette
Cami Galvez – Manville
Nazar Turchyn – North Plainfield
Josiah Kemp – Flemington
Gretchen Albrecht – Washington
Tyler Isherwood – Green Brook
Sofia Morales – Bridgewater
Liam Donnelly – Basking Ridge
Jack Leichter – Bedminster
Isabella Scaglione – Bridgewater
