High-Demand Career Offering Competitive Salary
The U.S. Bureau of Labor projects that the jobs in the paralegal field will grow by 15% from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. The current annual median wage for paralegals in NJ is $60,770. Paralegals are professionals who must work under the supervision of an attorney and may not provide legal services directly to the public except as permitted by law.
Rewarding & Exciting Career
Paralegals work side-by-side with attorneys in the practice of law. They conduct legal research; write case briefs and legal memorandums; draft legal documents such as wills and contracts; interview and assist clients in case preparation; conduct investigations; gather evidence; and assist attorneys at trial. A paralegal is the “right hand” of the attorney, with legal knowledge and ability that is an integral part of the legal team.
