Theatre to Present “Janet’s Planet: A Tour Through the Solar System” as Part of Astronomy Day Celebration

Local audience members are invited to “blast off” on a cosmic adventure when the Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College presents Janet’s Planet: A Tour Through the Solar System, Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m.

The production is part of the Theatre’s Family Matinee Series, which offers performances for children and young teens and their families.                                                                                

The fun-filled, interactive show takes families on a journey through our galaxy at the “speed of thought.” With music, captivating visuals, and Janet’s engaging storytelling, this high-energy performance makes STEM topics exciting, inspiring kids to dream big and reach for the stars. Kids and adults will discover the wonders of space together, encouraging curiosity and a love of science.

The performance is part of the College’s celebration of Astronomy Day. Before the show, audience members are invited to engage in hands-on activities celebrating astronomy and science from 1-2 p.m. in the Theatre lobby. Following the performance, Astronomy Day activities will continue at the RVCC Planetarium. For additional information, visit www.raritanval.edu/planetarium.
