“Songs for a New World” to be Presented at RVCC

Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present Songs for a New World, a musical by Jason Robert Brown, Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. The event, which will feature performances by RVCC music and theatre students, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Directed by Dr. Will Berman, the production explores moments of decision that shape the course of one’s lives. Through a series of powerful and intimate songs, the work examines how individuals confront uncertainty, navigate hardship, and ultimately discover resilience, hope, and personal growth.

The production features instrumentalists Marisa Green, piano, and Christian Sergile on drums. Singers include Cynthia DiMarco, Alex Kesselhaut, Sarah Stefaniak, Katie Strong, Ryder Doty, Savannah Weaver, Anna Walsh, Carlene Recto, Damon DeAngelo, and Nazar Turchyn, as well as members of the RVCC Chorale.
