RVCC to Hold 10th Annual Giving Day, with an Increase in Match Challenge
Raritan Valley Community College will celebrate its 10th Annual “Giving Day” on March 26 with a wide range of giving opportunities for potential supporters—and some extra incentives. This year, if $200,000 is raised during the annual event organized by the RVCC Foundation, Giving Day will have raised $1 million in donations since its inception at the College.
In addition, the “match challenge” is back again this year with any even greater match thanks to three generous benefactors—Jim and Jill Gibson of Basking Ridge; Don and Penny Pray of Westfield and Jupiter, FL; and The Caruso Family Foundation—whose combined gifts will provide $75,000 in matching funds to support RVCC Giving Day 2026. If the RVCC community can raise $75,000, the $75,000 match funds are added to the fundraising total.
This year’s Giving Day goals also include having at least 50 individuals, companies, or organizations each donate $1,000 or more to the College on March 26.
Members of the community are invited to participate in this 24-hour, online fundraising event. Last year, the College had another incredible Giving Day, raising a record $203,655 to help students, programs, and priorities of RVCC.
“This is an important milestone year, and we invite everyone who believes in this College and its students to join us on March 26,” said Mike Marion, Executive Director of the RVCC Foundation and RVCC Alumni Association. “Giving Day provides an opportunity for the greater community to really demonstrate its support of, and belief in, this exceptional institution.”
RVCC Giving Day 2026 donors may select from an assortment of College programs, student clubs, RVCC Athletic teams, and other initiatives, including the Student Resource Center and Food Pantry, The Pray Family Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement at RVCC, the Honors College, and Workforce Training Center, and several scholarship offerings. Donors can also “write in” their giving preferences if they don’t see it on the website.
Those interested in being counted as a donor on RVCC Giving Day 2026 should visit www.raritanval.edu/givingday on March 26 and make a minimum gift of $10. For additional information about Giving Day, contact Janet Dunne at 908-648-8355 or janet.dunne@raritanval.edu.
