Open House Focusing on RVCC Workforce Programs Planned

Learn more about the career, professional development and technical training programs being offered by Raritan Valley Community College at a Workforce Open House, Thursday, August 17, from 5-6:30 p.m. The event, which is free of charge, will be held in the College’s new state-of-the-art Workforce Training Center at RVCC’s Branchburg campus.

The Open House will offer participants the opportunity to learn about career training programs designed in partnership with local industry that can prepare students for a new career in a year or less. The programs include Cosmetology/Esthetics (skincare), HVAC, Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive Technology and Commercial Energy Management. Information also will be available about:

• professional development and exam certification programs
• the admissions process
• computer training
• technical courses
• English as a Second Language classes
• High School Equivalency (GED) exam preparation
• small business courses and assistance offered through the Small Business Development Center
• New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) training classes offered free to local workers and employers
