Hunterdon County Names New Member to RVCC Board of Trustees
Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Board of Trustees welcomed new member Howard J. Opdyke of Milford at its meeting held on February 22. Mr. Opdyke was appointed to the RVCC Board by the Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners.
Mr. Opdyke serves as Owner and President of several companies in the construction industry, including H.J. Opdyke Lumber Company, Inc; Lehigh Structural Components, LLC; and Central States Millwork. He previously served on the Board of Directors of LMC, a building materials co-op.
Mr. Opdyke has held leadership positions with a number of community organizations, including serving as former Fire Chief of the Frenchtown Fire Department and as former Captain and EMT of the Frenchtown Rescue Squad. He also has volunteered with the Delaware Valley Regional High School Board of Education, the Frenchtown Borough Council, and Hunterdon County Polytech.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Otterbein University.
