Holocaust Institute to Host Webinar Series on Genocide Prevention
In commemoration of Genocide Awareness Month, the Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College will present “Genocide Prevention: A 21st-Century Challenge,” a webinar series running Fridays, April 5, 12, 26 and May 3, all from 10-11 a.m.
The series, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be led by Dr. Ellen Kennedy, Executive Director of World Without Genocide.
During the sessions, students, educators, and community members will learn about the geography and events that have occurred around the world and how that has impacted today’s current situations. Topics will include “Transitional Justice,” “Reporters with Courage,” “Genocide on Trial,” and “Women and Children in Genocide – Victims, Survivors, Witnesses, and Perpetrators.”
