The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College will host an international Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) webinar, April 14, from noon-1 p.m.

The online event will feature Jörg Domes and Ingo Sielaff from Borken in northern Hesse, Germany. The speakers will discuss their research uncovering stories of former Jewish members of their community and commemorating each individual with a Stolpersteine (stumbling stone) in Borken.

Domes and Sielaff have published a new book (in German and English), Jewish Families in Borken until 1942, which includes all of their research. The webinar will focus on their most recent Stolpersteine event, held in Germany this past September.

The RVCC Holocaust Institute webinar is free of charge and open to the public. Registration is required. To register, visit https://tinyurl.com/38vv64wm.

The event is being co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of West-Central New Jersey; the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center; Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties; and 3GNJ.
