RVCC Chorale to Perform Annual Holiday Concert

The RVCC Chorale will give its annual Holiday concert on Saturday, December 3, at 8 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College’s Branchburg campus.

The program will feature Johannes Bach’s Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern (How Brightly Shines the Morning Star) as well as Tchaikovsky’s Hymn to the Trinity and Renaissance works by Melchior Vulpius, Tomas Luis de Victoria and Claudio Monteverdi. The program also will include an audience singalong of traditional carols.

Directed by Dr. John Sichel, RVCC Assistant Professor of Music, the RVCC Chorale is composed of students, former students and members of the community. This concert’s performers include Jennifer Boardman, Keianna Davis, Nicole Dima, Melissa Jo Donlay, Madeleine Evarts, Miranda Evarts, Mia Mazzariello, Madeleine Nasta, Ana White and Emily Woods, sopranos; Cathy Dayton, Ruth Dilley, Janie Giambalvo, Paige Hann, Jennifer Kapoian, Georgiana Lubrano and Jane Sausanavage, altos; Kenneth Barney, Airon Eschavez, Daniel Hogan, Jorge Martinez, Gustavo Sanchez-Ochoa, Shawn Wallace and Christopher Zanardi, tenors; and Frank Becker, Andrew Conti, Chad Covin, Darian Hampton, Dylan Hurilla, Andres Jinete, David Lone, Christopher Piel, Andrew Stecher and William Zimmerman, basses.  Timothy Brown is the accompanist.

General admission is $12 per person, $8 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door on the night of the concert or in advance from the Theatre box office, 908-725-3420. The box office is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
