Evelyn S. Field Library, More than just books

The Evelyn S. Field Library is the center for research and information at RVCC. The Library has a collection of books, periodicals and media, as well as electronic resources, quiet and group study areas, computers, printers and copiers. 

The Library faculty develops the collection in collaboration with classroom faculty to support the educational program.  The Library seeks to stimulate intellectual curiosity, provide diversity of thought and offer personal enrichment. 

The entire Library staff strives to advance the College's mission of student success.  The Library is committed to continued personal and professional growth.  The Library facilities are a welcoming environment that is conducive to study.

Research Assistance

Research assistance is available in-person and online whenever the Library is open.

Study Spaces

The Library provides collaborative study spaces for groups and quiet or silent study spaces for individuals.

Textbooks

The Library has a selection of textbooks for high enrollment courses that can be borrowed for use in the Library. 

The Library's instructional program is an integral part of the general curriculum.  The Library is at the forefront of promoting information literacy to the College community. The two libraries—the physical and the virtual—offer opportunities for a variety of learning styles.

The Evelyn S. Field Library provides borrowing privileges and discretionary access to information and resource sharing for Somerset and Hunterdon County residents.
