RVCC SETS PROGRAMS FOR CLINICAL RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS
The Allied Health Department of Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering two courses for clinical research professionals in January: Clinical Research Associate (CRA)/Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) and Clinical Data Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry (CDM). Both courses will be offered Saturdays, January 17-February 21, from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the College?s North Branch Campus.
The demand for qualified and trained clinical research professionals continues to grow. These courses can introduce new and exciting career opportunities, providing a detailed overview of the key aspects of preparing for a career in the management of clinical trials. The programs are appropriate for those interested in pursuing a career either as a clinical research associate (CRA)/ clinical research coordinator (CRC) or in clinical data management in the pharmaceutical industry.
The fee for each of the programs is $1,749. Upon completion of the course, a New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) Certificate with 36 contact hours will be issued.
The Allied Health Department also will be offering the following courses at the College?s North Branch Campus:
AORN Perioperative Nursing Course 101 (online/classroom):
The introductory course for RNs covers the theory, rationale and skills needed to provide safe patient care in the operating room. The program includes an online module, as well as hand-on practice in the classroom.

The ABC?s of Pediatric Nursing:
The program offers a refresher course in basic pediatric nursing assessment. It?s appropriate for both novice and experienced pediatric nurses. The course emphasizes proper techniques in providing care to pediatric patients based on developmental stages.
