RVCC SETS COURSE IN PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT, HISTORY TAKING

The Allied Health Department of Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering a Physical Assessment and History Taking program this fall. The course will be offered Saturdays, October 25-November 8, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the College?s North Branch Campus.

The program is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of nurses who work in hospitals, schools, community health and long-term facilities, and industry settings in order to help them perform comprehensive health and physical assessments.

Cost to participate is $361. Participants receive 15 New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) contact hours.

The Allied Health Department will also be offering the following courses:

EKG Analysis and Basic Arrhythmia
Wednesday, October 22, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Fee: $74; NJSNA contact hours: 4

Decision Making for Patients with Dementia
Saturday, October 25, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Fee: $130; NJSNA contact hours: 6

Parish Nursing/Health Ministry
Saturday, October 25, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Fee: $87; NJSNA contact hours: 5

Nutrition 101
Fridays, October 31 & November 7, 6-8 p.m.
Fee: $92; NJSNA contact hours: 4
