HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CAREER SEMINAR TO BE HELD AT RVCC
Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Career Services Department will sponsor a Health Information Technology and Management Career Seminar Thursday, April 30, from 6-7:30 p.m. The program is free of charge and open to the public. It will be held in the East Building (Room 109) at the College?s North Branch Campus.
According to the US Department of Labor, Health Information Technology is among the top 20 fastest-growing occupations. RVCC offers two programs in the field: an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Technology and a Health Information Technology ? Medical Coding Certificate. A degree in Health Information Technology can jump-start a career into high-salaried positions in a variety of health-related settings, including hospitals, doctors? offices, insurance companies and government agencies.
Seminar participants will learn more about this exciting and growing career, including hot trends and pathways to enter the field, as they interact with professionals in roundtable sessions. Featured speakers include staff from Hunterdon Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
