The Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Student Jazz Ensemble, directed by John Loehrke of New York City, will perform in concert Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College?s North Branch Campus.

The group will perform original arrangements by such composers as Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, Thelonious Monk, Keith Bernstein, Joe Henderson, George Gershwin, Charlie Parker and Django Reinhart.

The ensemble is composed of the following members: Robyn Alfonso, Delaware, NJ; Ian Christie, Green Brook; Matt Singer, Martinsville; Tim, Ben and Chris Svendson, Hackettstown; Kamaal Caldwell, North Plainfield; Travis Gerkins, Milford; Mike Hufnagel, Flemington; Sean Reddington, Pittstown; Kevin Bonhoff, Branchburg; Tyler Evans, Ashbury; Dan Filipak, Hillsborough; John Fiorella, Watchung; Ryan Hannagan, Belvidere; and Kyle Kassick, Somerset.

The ensemble will be joined by a featured guest vocalist: Loretta Fois of Branchburg, coordinator of RVCC?s dance program.
