Financial Aid ~ Withdrawal and Return of Funds
How withdrawal affects your financial aid
If you receive Federal financial aid and you withdraw or stop attending within the first 60% of the term, you may be required to repay all or a portion of your financial aid. The financial aid office will determine how much of your Federal aid you have earned and notify you in writing. It is your responsibility to make payment arrangements with the Finance Office for all outstanding charges due to the return calculation. Please also be aware that based on when you drop or withdrawfrom a class you may or may not still be responsible for the tuition and fees associated with the course. For the full Refund and Withdrawal Schedule, please click here. Please see the information on SAP to determine how dropping your course may affect your ability to receive further financial aid.
Return of Funds
Based on the calculation of how much financial aid you are eligible to receive after a withdrawal, you may be required to pay for your outstanding tuition and fees and/or repay a portion or all of your financial aid. Once our office has calculated your eligibility for financial aid after a withdrawal you will be notified of the amount of financial aid that you are eligible to retain. You will also be notified if we require any further documents in order to process your financial aid. It is your responsibility to check your student account in the Lion's Den to determine if you must make satisfactory payment arrangements with the Finance Office.
