First Year Student Advising
| All first time, full time students are assigned a First Year Advisor who will assist them in developing their academic, career and transfer plans as well as with general academic advising and course registration for each semester. First year students should meet with their assigned advisor at least 3 times each semester to review their academic plan and develop their schedule(s) for upcoming term(s).
What is an Academic and Career Plan?
An Academic and Career Plan is a blueprint which includes all courses required to complete your degree or certificate program, including any required developmental courses as well as includes action steps for planning for a career and transfer to a four year college or university. All Academic and Career Plans should be written and list semester by semester when you will complete the courses required for your degree.
