The Children's Campus at RVCC provides a stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment for children. The Center, licensed by the State of New Jersey, fosters learning for young children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. Students enrolled in RVCC's Early Childhood Education degree program work in the Center to enhance their professional skills. The Center is open twelve months a year to children whose parents are RVCC students, and RVCC staff or faculty. Care is available when the College is open, even if classes are not in session.
The Center also accepts students from outside the College community on a space available basis after the start of each semester. Rates for these children from the general community are the same as those for staff at the College. Registration is accepted throughout the year. It is recommended that parents phone for an appointment to see the Center in order to ensure appropriate time can be set aside for answering any questions they may have.
College faculty and staff, student parents, and student teachers will discover at The Children’s Campus highly educated and experienced administrators and classroom teachers who have chosen to dedicate their careers to the early care and education of young children and to mentoring students enrolled in the early childhood, elementary education, psychology and other related disciplines. They also will discover open minded employees who value and respect the diversity that is an integral part of Raritan Valley Community College. All who enter the Children’s Campus will experience a warm, welcoming, enriching and inclusive environment that supports children and students to reach their highest potential.
