Visiting Student

RVCC is an open access institution. SAT scores, letters of recommendation or essays are not required for admission.


OPTION 1 - Apply Online
You CANNOT register online until you receive your Admissions Packet in the mail.

Step 1 - Apply
- Create a Login ID and Password by clicking on "First time user account creation"
- Complete requested information
- Submit application with $25.00 non-refundable application fee

After your application has been submitted, you can log into the Admissions System using your login and password and receive updates on the status of your application and admissions requirements.

Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis. Once your application has been processed, you will receive an admission packet from the college in the mail, along with a student ID number and instructions on registering for classes.

If you are not seeking a degree or certificate at RVCC, you are not required to submit proof of immunization, official high school or college transcripts, or complete placement testing, unless required as proof of meeting course prerequisites.

Step 2 - Provide Proof of Prerequisites from Primary College

Submit a proof of prerequisite requirements (copy of college transcripts, grade reports or a visiting student approval form) from your primary college. Submit the documentation, along with the registration form, by mail or in person to the RVCC Student Enrollment Center, PO Box 3300, Somerville NJ 08876. The Student Enrollment Center is located on the first floor of the College Center on the Branchburg Campus.

Students are encouraged to receive prior approval from their primary college before registering for classes to ensure that the credits earned at RVCC will transfer.

STEP 3 - Register for Classes 
You will be able to register online AFTER you receive your Admissions Packet in the mail. You will be able to access your Lion's Den account with your student ID number and password to register for your classes.

For Fall you may apply and register using the Quick Admit Registration Form for Fall 2010. Please be sure to indicate the term for which you are registering.

Note: If you are signing up for a course that has a prerequisite, then proof that you have completed the prerequisite must accompany this quick admit form.

Tuition & Fees

Student must pay their full tuition & fees by the following dates:
Fall Semester: July 30 or at time of registration after July 30
Spring Semester: January 5 or at time of registration after January 5
Summer Semesters: March 15 or at time of registration after that date

RVCC offers a Tuition Pay Monthly Payment Plan that enables you to spread out your payments. No interest is charged but there is an enrollment fee.

The College participates in all federal and state financial aid programs and also offers a number of scholarship opportunities.
