Accreditation

Raritan Valley Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267) 284-5000. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The following credit programs are accredited: Nursing - Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN) formerly NLNAC; Certified Nurse Aide - NJ Department of Health and Senior Services; Ophthalmic Science - Commission on Opticianry Accreditation; Allied Health - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education; Health Information Technology - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA); Medical Assistant Certificate program - Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MEARB) sanctioned by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP). The Paralegal Studies Program is approved by the American Bar Association. Raritan Valley Community College is licensed to operate and to award associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates by the New Jersey Commission of Higher Education.

The following non-credit programs are accredited: Dental radiology license - the State of NJ Dental Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners; EKG technician certification - American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT); Pharmacy technician certification from National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; Phlebotomy lab assistant certification - American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT); Homemaker home health aide certification - the NJ Board of Nursing; American Heart Saver CPR for the professional rescuer certification.
