Ashley Hunt, a freshman forward from the Raritan Valley Community College women's basketball team, has been named Garden State Athletic Conference Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The Edison resident was honored for the week ending December 4.

Hunt and the RVCC Lions only had one game that week, and it was a 71-22 victory over County College of Morris. Hunt played a solid all-around game, scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds. She kept her teammates involved as she picked up seven assists and played strong defense with five steals.

Hunt is the second Garden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week selected from the RVCC women's basketball team this season. Freshman guard Megan Mack of Manville was honored for the week ending November 13.
