Learn more about Raritan Valley Community College’s Automotive Technology program at an Information Session, Thursday, January 26, from 3-4:30 p.m., at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

During the session prospective students will have an opportunity to learn about the innovative and successful program, meet with staff and faculty, and explore the exciting career potential in the field of automotive technology. Participants also will learn about the Certificate of Professional Competency that will be awarded to program graduates. The certificate is specifically designed to help students stand out to potential employers.

In designing the Automotive Technology program, RVCC’s education team partnered with local employers and expert workers to detail the knowledge, skills, traits and behaviors essential to becoming a successful Automotive Entry Tech. The program, which has been highly praised by area employers, is now providing the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) student certification testing. This is the nationally recognized automotive technicians’ credentials for assessment of skills.

In the past two years, 90 percent of program graduates have obtained employment in the automotive field. Graduates have worked at manufacturer dealerships, franchise repair shops and privately owned shops.
