RVCC offers all levels of English as a Second Language instruction from basic English to advanced grammar and accent reduction.
Workplace and Basic ESL Courses
RVCC's Workplace Development English as a Second Language is designed for individuals with little or limited knowledge of English. It is intended for students who want to improve communication at work, with family, or for personal contacts. There are three levels: Basic ESL, Introduction Level 1 (A&B) and Introduction Level 2 (A&B). Each class is 36 hours of instruction; the fee is $360 per class.
Students interested in acquiring a college degree should expect to enroll in two to three years of basic skills preparation.
Our ESL courses are offered as beginning, non-academic ESL classes. For these basic courses, students do not have to take a placement test at the RVCC Main Campus Testing Center in Branchburg. You need only register for the course of your choice.
