Bridge to Employment

Bridge to Employment (BTE)  is a Johnson & Johnson sponsored program designed to help young people around the world build solid futures by introducing them to a broad array of careers in health care.  Raritan Valley Community College partners with Bound Brook High School, ETHICON and Somerset Medical Center to facilitate the local BTE program at Bound Brook High School.  The program seeks to enhance the educational experiences of a cohort of Bound Brook High School students by providing career development opportunities, work-based learning experiences and mentoring by professionals in the healthcare industry.  

ASPIRE is a college readiness program for students at Franklin High School who are interested in developing the skills necessary to be successful in college.  Aspire provides academic success workshops in setting goals, time management, career choices and study skills and other academic enrichment activities throughout the school year as well as a summer bridge program. 

Tech Prep is a collaborative, state funded grant program for students at Hunterdon County Polytech Career Academy, partnering with Raritan Valley Community College and Kean University.  The program provides educational and career pathways for high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in nursing, allied health and education.  RVCC provides academic enrichment activities as well as career pathways for students through concurrent enrollment courses.
