The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named five Raritan Valley Community College athletes to its Academic All-American lists. The following students have been named to the prestigious lists:

Distinguished Academic All-Americans:

Marlon Avellan of Raritan (Men?s Soccer)
Amy Wilson of Bridgewater (Women?s Softball)

Academic All-Americans:

Jason Yanchuck of Somerset (Men?s Golf)
Christine Doremus of Dunellen (Women?s Softball)
Olan Adeyemi of Bridgewater (Men?s Basketball)

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is the governing body of intercollegiate athletics for two-year colleges.

Three of RVCC?s sports teams?Women?s Basketball and Softball, and Men?s Baseball?are moving up to the NJCAA Division II beginning in the 2008-2009 school year. With Division II status, RVCC can offer athletic scholarships to students participating in those sports. In addition to the scholarship benefit, students are given support through the counseling and tutoring departments.
