RVCC TO HOST PROGRAM GEARED FOR DISPLACED WORKERS
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), the Small Business Administration, and the Norris McLaughlin & Marcus Women?s Forum will present ?Real Life?Going out on Your Own: Business Considerations After a Corporate Career,? Wednesday, April 8, 8:30-11:30 a.m. The seminar is geared toward displaced corporate workers who are seeking a career change and considering starting their own business. It will be held in the Conference Center at the College?s North Branch Campus.
The program will feature Sean McGee, CFA, CFP?, CRPC?, and Viktor Misko, CRPC?, of Bridgewater Merrill Lynch, who will discuss managing a career transition and the key concerns during a career change. Topics will include managing retirement assets, increasing liquidity and dealing with exposure to company stock.
Melinda Fellner Bramwit, Esq., Of Counsel to Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., Somerville, and a member of its Women?s Forum, will cover such topics as determining the entity of a new business, starting a new business and identifying the tax advantages of various corporate structures.
