RVCC TO PRESENT MUSIC FACULTY RECITAL
Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department will present a Music Faculty Recital Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College?s North Branch Campus. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
The concert will include a program of solo, ensemble and original works from the 18th through the 21st Centuries.
The recital will feature performances by the department?s entire music faculty, as well as numerous guest artists. Faculty members include Larry Barbee, guitarist (Whitehouse Station); Michael Eckhart, guitarist (Hillsborough); Stephen Hudson, pianist (Flemington); John Loehrke, bassist (New York City); Margaret Nelson, pianist (Hillsborough); Sharon Reynolds, mezzo-soprano (Branchburg); John Sichel, composer (Mountainside); and Anthony Strong, pianist (Long Valley).
The recital program also will include several ensembles featuring exciting collaborations with guest artists, including Michael Avagliano, viola; Christy Colato, mezzo-soprano; Heather Keith, soprano; Jenny Melick, mezzo-soprano; Andrew Silbert, clarinet; Jeffrey Stier (former RVCC student), tenor; and Martin Urbach, drums.
