The Small Business Development Center at Raritan Valley Community College in North Branch will present a business symposium, ?What?s Keeping You up at Night?,? Friday, January 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the College?s North Branch Campus. The event will be held in the RVCC Conference Center.

The program is being co-sponsored by Amper, Politziner & Mattia, CPAs; Affinity Federal Credit Union; and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Some of the topics to be covered during the symposium include:

* business insurance needs
* fraud in the workplace
* succession planning
* sales tax filing requirements
* hiring employees vs. independent contractors
* business financing

An overview of the 2009 economic outlook will be presented during lunch.
