Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Rotaract Club will be honored at the New Jersey Human Relations Council 2007 Unity Achievement Awards Ceremony, Thursday, November 1, at 11:30 a.m., at The Conference Center at Mercer County College, West Windsor.

The club is being honored in the ?Achievements by Students? category.

The RVCC Rotaract Club fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace. The RVCC club is affiliated with The Rotary International, an international service organization for men and women ages 18-30. The RVCC Rotaract Club is sponsored by the Branchburg Rotary Club.

RVCC?s club has raised more than $10,000 in the past three years for various charities. Some of the club?s recent projects have included creating a Peace Garden, collecting bicycles for developing countries as part of the Pedals for Progress campaign, serving meals at the College?s Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner, helping with a HOPE Project in South Africa and sponsoring orphans in Nepal to help send them to school.
